I have had many challenges in my life, which started with almost dying in '2004, and taking five months to be able to come back home. I knew things had to change, or should I say, I knew "I" had to change. I was diagnosed with Cirrhosis of the Liver, which was caused by many years of alcohol abuse, 'no' drugs, but enough booze to sink a battleship.
When deciding to come back to school, I was laid off and down in the dumps. After two months of not working, and not wanting to get depressed, to lead me back to my old ways, also not knowing what I was going to do. With no jobs to be found, due to the economic state; I went online to look for an online school that I could maybe attend. That is what brought me here.
I know that I was given a second chance to do something in my life, and make my family proud of me. I thank God and my family, and the doctor's in Canada, for saving my life. So, from here on in, no matter what the challenges are, I know I can do it.
